GREGANS CASTLE

The Burren is one of Ireland's surprises for the discerning traveller. A special area of limestone mountain scenery, with a distinctive beauty and holding a wealth of treasure for the botanist and explorer of historic ruins. In the midst of this wilderness lies the four star Gregans Castle Hotel, at the foot of the Corkscrew Hill, with breathtaking views over the mystical Burren mountains and Galway Bay.

The Haden Family have owned and run this 18th century oasis for nearly 30 years. Hospitality, good food, comfort and peace and quiet are the themes. Comfortable bedrooms and suites are decorated in a traditional country house style. There are extensive borrowed landscape gardens and woodland paths to wander through with abundant birdlife.

All bedrooms have every comfort and no televisions. The superior rooms and suites are particularly commodious, and are especially recommended. Some of these are on the ground floor level.

A large borrowed landscape garden and the rural setting, ensure a peaceful harmony. Non residents are welcome for daytime food and for dinner in our dining room. Golf at Lahinch and Doonbeg, horse back riding, cycling and walking in the Burren, and close-by short ferry service to the Aran Islands from Doolin, are just a few of the many things to do.
